I really don’t know which one to use. Bill and I are three weeks and counting until the wedding. We are both super excited to see everyone who has RSVP’d. I don’t have much to add other then that. The clock is ticking and I can’t wait.

3 Months And Counting

OMG, there is only 3 more months to go, we are so excite, and also baffled at where the time has gone. Our plans I think are as good as they could get, and have taken a seat on the “back-burner”, what does that mean anyway and who comes up with this stuff, any how Bill and I are moving in April to Peterborough, we have found a little 2 bedroom apartment on Water St. It is not to far away from the University and a short walk to downtown. I will be sending out a mass e-mail with the address shortly.

Since this blog is suppose to be about the wedding, I’ll say a short blurb. I don’t think we will be doing a registry at all for the wedding, I have asked Bill to find some way of doing it on-line however I think this will not be the case. As I have said before we are happy to receive any gifts that anyone would like to give to us. I know the Bride and Groom always get gifts for their wedding, but I believe I can say for Bill and myself we are showing up to the church on June 19th to start our life together out of love for each other, not necessarily for the gifts we will receive.

I don’t care what the media says, I love Martha Stewart and her creative people. Since I got engaged, I have purchased every Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine, this is contrary to me telling Bill that I was only going to purchase 2 or 3 wedding magazines total. They have the best ideas for the do-it-yourself-bride, i know this sounds like a plug for them, it’s not but I guess it could be.

Now you may be asking yourselves, 102 what? The answer is, I have finished creating 102 table favours, thanks to Martha Stewart. Bill and I really had know idea what we were going to do. We know we wanted to make little chocolates, but we had no clue what they were going to go in. After several attempts at various ideas, I happened upon a cover shot of a cake made out of little boxes with tiny bows for accents. I showed Bill and he agreed that they would be perfect. So off to Micheal’s, also the best place for the do-it-yourself-bride, we found a package of 100 little white boxes (we got 2 bonus) and the most perfect purple ribbon, say that 5 time fast, you could imagine. After countless hours of cutting and gluing, I used white glue, couldn’t talk Bill into a glue gun, they are all finished. Yippee!!!!!!

We have yet to decide whether or not they will be set up as a cake for the guests, I’m still working on the math, or if they will be on the tables. Well talk to you all soon.

Our Registry….

Well we have gotten rid of our registry. Bill and I got an eye opener from Pam and a few other family members that the items that we had put on our registry were a lot more expensive then they were when we had put them on. For things around the house there is not a whole lot that we need. Bill is working on a post with an interactive list that anyone can go to and see when we may need and update it if it has been purchased.

Since we are going to Florida and are still trying to start a life together we can really only ask for U.S. or Canadian money. I know any gifts we receive will be very welcome.

We have received many reply cards and are very happy with the amount of yes’s we have received. I also love the excuse to talk to my sister, who is keeping track of the responses for us, every day.

Hi everyone who reads this… Dad and Uncle Peter. Well the Invitations have gone out. We have received a few responses so far, I can’t wait to get more.

Other plans are coming along, Bill and I have finally agreed on a honeymoon destination. Bill and I are going to Universal Studios Orlando, Fl. it is going to be so much fun. I’m still trying to convince him to go to Disney, but no dice so far. There is a really nice hotel on the on the park where we will be staying.

Hi everybody

Well Bill’s parents threw us an engagement party on the 14th of November. It was awesome, and great to see everyone. Bill and I got some great gifts and want to thank everyone who was there for us.

On another note, We have had some major advancements in our plans. We have secured a church. Bill and I will be getting married at St. John’s in Alliston, ON. We have a D.J. and and the dinner plans are coming along great.

Well our plans are coming along. Bill and I have chosen our table centres. we have decided to have “drink” drink glasses filled with either candies, chocolates or mini cooking with our initials on them. We figure this way some one at the table will want the centre piece.

Our ceremony search continues, we are having minor issues with the church that we have chosen. We hope these issues will be fixed with in the next month.

just looking for feed back, do people usually prefer table favours that they can used right away (like bubbles, wine, cooking, etc.) or do they like to get stuff that is more a keepsake type of item? Any feedback would be great.

P.S. the engagement party in on the 14th, not the 20th as previously posted.

I have a lot of pending news but nothing definite. We have been buying all the little things that we will need for the wedding and reception. We have had to buy a lot of stuff now so we can have matching stationary. We found the cutest stationary set by Martha Stewart, at Wal-Mart, only problem we have found is they have discontinued it, hence why we are buying it now. I am pretty sure we have every thing we need.

Just a heads up, Bill’s parents are throwing us an engagement party on November 20th, I hope everyone can make it.

Again wow, omg, and everything that goes with the realization that we now have less then one year until the wedding. I apologies for not writing this last night but I ended up working from 8 in the morning to 8:30 last night.

I don’t have a whole lot that I can up-date, I went dress shopping with a friend of mine recently, and found a bridal shop that I’m not going back to. I get that in some of then you need an appointment to look at dresses, but don’t sit there and tell me that I cannot try one on, when the store is empty. I haven’t looked since, I think I really need a trip to Barrie or Toronto to start looking again.

All I really can say now is WOW only 364 days…….. and counting.
